Description

Twin Cities Blind Sailing Youth Summer Camp

AGES: 7-17
SCHEDULE:  Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
DURATION: One week

What is Twin Cities Blind Sailing?
The mission of Twin Cities Blind Sailing is to facilitate sailing independence in blind and visually impaired people of all ages in Minnesota by providing education, community awareness, and accessible, affordable, and annual learning and interactive competitive racing and casual sailing opportunities for them and the sighted people who support our values.

MORE SPECIFICS:

This sailing camp is designed for youth in the blind and visually impaired community. Kids will participate in an onshore discussion, lecture, and land drills to start the day, followed by sailing until lunchtime. Students sail aboard a 22-foot Pearson Ensign keelboat boat. These boats are stable and do not tip over.  After lunch, students will spend more time on the water learning new skills, playing games, and swimming if the weather is right.

This camp is Free. Donations are welcomed at www.sailmpls.org/donate
